Does Madonna understand the true potential of blockchain technology? The pop culture’s icon was seen buying non-fungible tokens in March. She surprised her followers when she bought an NFT of a tattooed ape from the Bored Ape Yacht Club. This digital currency was worth $560,000 at that time.
The diva again surprised her fans when she unveiled a three-video NFT collaboration with the digital artist Beeple. The video showed three different aspects of life inspired by parenting.
Madonna and Nature
The videos had a naked CGI Madonna giving birth. Her project is known as “Mother of Creation”. The project’s website has a piece that reflects a different kind of birth in the current world.
One of the videos was titled “Mother of Nature”, and Madonna’s avatar was resting on a laboratory bed with her legs spread like a tree sprouted out of her.
Madonna also said that she was working with Beeple on this project for the past year. Her idea was to make something related to the idea of creation and motherhood. She also delivered a new poem that she specially composed for the project.

The second video was titled “Mother of Evolution” and it depicted butterflies emerging from her body. The video was suggesting hope as the avatar was put in a post-apocalyptic situation. Madonna’s symbol reads the lyrics of “Justify my Love”.
The third and final video was titled “Mother of Technology”. It depicts centipede robots crawling out of her while she is in a jungle. The whole thought behind this video was how science can also give birth to light in this world when employed with the right consciousness.
Beeple was also excited about this collaboration, which was mentioned in his Twitter post.

Charity Project
The NFTs will be auctioned for charity from Wednesday to Friday by SuperRare. NFTs are unique blockchain tokens that verify ownership of a particular asset. According to Madonna, in this case, it is the video.
In a phone interview, the singer also spoke to New York Times and said that she was initially reluctant to accept digital treasures. However, that encouraged her to investigate what she viewed as the presence of spirituality and community in the environment.
She further added that her NFTs are not merely provocative. They represent hope and technology at the same time.
Madonna has always strived to do something different in her career in music and arts for 30 years and yet again, here she is back with her sexiness.
Thus, a lot of people are understanding the importance of blockchain. The music industry and the digital world continue to unite with big names for NFTs and Web3.
Some of the other music icons that have entered this space are Nirvana and David Bowie with Snoop Dogg and Ice Cube active. Even Warner Music was seen purchasing land in Sandbox.
Hence, it is not that surprising when another big collaboration between Madonna and Beeple was revealed on Monday.
