From Dec. 1 to Dec. 4 the world’s largest Art Week is taking place in Miami Florida. The event is held at the Hive Wynwood and features curated panels on the future of NFTs, Web3 and Art, as well as the VR beta being released to the public for the first time. Alpha City, a unique and creative Web3 project, has designed a replica of a real-life venue in its meta space for the event. Alpha City’s pre-release version is in the process of creating the city structures, waterways, roads, parks, office buildings, and an array of other details completed. Land will be offered to holders in an exclusive drop and will only be available during the Art Week. Only few plots will be for sale, varying in size, design, and price. The lucky people who will buy the land drops will receive NFT bonus, exclusive Alpha Merch, and access to Alpha City’s private events in 2023.

On Nov. 30 the cryptocurrency exchange Kraken announced that it will be cutting down approximately 1,100 people from its global workforce. This decision was characterized as the “hardest decisions” by the CEO and co-founder of Kraken Jesse Powell. According to Powell, the company had to triple its workforce the past months due to the fast-growing crypto ecosystem. Around 30% of the total workforce contracts will be terminated meaning that the number of the employees will be back to where it was 12 months ago. The CEO announced the decision by sharing a tweet.

On Wednesday Nov. 29 Visa, a world leader in digital payments announced a seven-year global partnership with GoHenry, a pioneer in financial literacy for 6-18-year-olds. The two partners are working on a financial education app as well as prepaid card for 6- to 18-year-olds. Visa will provide support for GoHenry’s prepaid cards kids and teenagers in Europe, US and UK. Ten years ago, GoHenry helped expand a new category in youth finance and its main mission is “to make every kid smart with money”.
