Eigen Network: Abbreviated Introduction
Decentralized privacy and security constitute an essential aspect of Web3. Privacy-focused projects like Monero and Zcash have made a great effort to implement privacy-enabling technology by building their private payment infrastructure and ecosystem. However, implementing privacy on Smart Contracts for assets like ERC-1155 takes work.
Eigen Network has a vision of facilitating a drop-in privacy preservation protocol for every Web3 participant. Its new zero-knowledge roll-up protocol would support the most utilized assets like ERC-20, ERC-721, and ERC-1155.
Along with a new zero-knowledge rollup protocol, the project also plans to provide a decentralized, secure, and self-custodial asset management platform that offers keyless signing and social recovery.
The project plans to implement GovernanceToken, an ERC-20 token, which is meant to be utilized to count votes and support delegation.
The project is located in Singapore and would also use a Decentralized Autonomous Organization to upgrade modules in a wallet, for example.
The project anticipates launching its Testnet in Q1 2023, though a roadmap has yet to be released.
